Abu Dhabi is published a little cheaper than Dubai on every treatment we can source. Here are the four ranges, and how much the difference is actually worth.

Information only, not medical advice. Prices vary between clinics and between patients. Confirm any treatment, and its price, with a licensed dentist before you decide.

In Abu Dhabi, a single implant is published at AED 4,500 to 13,000, a porcelain veneer at AED 1,300 to 4,500 per tooth, a crown at AED 900 to 3,500 and a scale and polish at AED 180 to 700. Each is published below the same treatment in Dubai.

Cleaning and crowns sit so low on that axis because implants dominate it. That is the honest shape of dental spending: routine care is a small, regular cost, and a single restoration is a different decision entirely.

The three units dental prices are quoted in Three panels. The first shows a single tooth, labelled per tooth, used for veneers, crowns and one implant. The second shows an arch of teeth, labelled per arch, used for full-arch work. The third shows a clock face, labelled per visit or per course, used for cleaning and for aligner treatment. Per tooth veneers, crowns, one implant Per arch full-arch work on several implants Per visit or course cleaning, and aligner treatment
Check the unit before you compare two prices. Per tooth and per arch are not the same purchase.

How much cheaper than Dubai, really?

At the typical published price, Abu Dhabi comes in about AED 1,000 below Dubai on an implant, AED 300 below on a veneer, AED 200 below on a crown and AED 50 below on a cleaning. On a single crown or cleaning that difference is not worth a journey. On a plan involving several implants it starts to matter.

Before you read anything into the gap, note what it is not. These are published ranges for each city, not a like-for-like comparison of the same clinic, the same materials or the same case.

Where these numbers come from

The source is a pricing site that publishes per-city ranges for medical treatment in the UAE. It states that its ranges are built on the DOH Mandatory Tariff (Shafafiya) methodology, DHA DRG parameters and market-observed data, data as of March 2026. That is an industry source, not a regulator's price list, and we label it that way everywhere it appears.

Insurance in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi runs its own mandatory insurance scheme under the Department of Health, separate from Dubai's Essential Benefits Plan. We have not yet found an official document setting out its dental terms that we can link to, so this site does not describe them. Ask your insurer for the dental section of your policy, in writing.

For Dubai, where the official table is published, see what the minimum plan covers. To compare a single treatment across cities, use the estimator.
