What clear aligner treatment costs in Dubai

One published range, a wide one, and an insurance answer that is short. Here is what we can source about aligner pricing in Dubai, and what we cannot.

A Dubai clinic price guide puts clear aligner treatment at AED 8,000 to 20,000, and says the cost can run higher depending on how much correction is needed. Dubai's minimum insurance plan does not help: its exclusions state that dental prostheses and orthodontic treatments are excluded.

We are giving you one source here rather than several, and it is worth saying why. Aligner pricing in the Gulf is published mostly by clinics advertising their own treatment, often under brand names we do not use on this site. The page behind the figure above was last modified in August 2023, so treat it as older than the other prices we publish. When we find a better maintained source, this page changes.

Why the range is so wide

Aligner treatment is sold by case, not by visit. A short course to straighten mild crowding at the front and a long course that moves most of the mouth are both called clear aligners, and they are not remotely the same amount of work. The published guide attributes the spread to the extent of correction, the aligner brand, the practitioner and insurance.

That makes a headline "from" price close to useless for planning. The number that matters is the one on your own treatment plan after a scan and an assessment.

What about insurance?

Under Dubai's Essential Benefits Plan, orthodontic treatment is excluded outright: the exclusions list states that dental prostheses and orthodontic treatments are excluded. Some employer plans add orthodontic cover, usually with its own limit and often only for children. Ask your insurer for the orthodontic line of your policy in writing before you start, because aligner treatment runs for months and a mid-treatment surprise is expensive.

Questions that make two aligner quotes comparable

  • How many aligners, and how many months, does this price assume?
  • Are scans, attachments and refinements included, or billed separately?
  • What does the quote include after treatment ends, and what do replacements cost?
  • Who supervises the treatment, and how often will they see me?

We do not name aligner brands on this site. Brand names are advertising, and the health authorities in this region are strict about how treatment is promoted. What you are buying is a supervised course of treatment, and that is what a quote should describe.
